Senate Majority PAC (SMP) is the principal super PAC aligned with Democratic leadership in the U.S. Senate. Like its Republican counterpart Senate Leadership Fund, SMP focuses on independent expenditures in competitive Senate races and operates in close institutional alignment with its affiliated dark-money nonprofit, Majority Forward.
During the 2024 cycle, Majority Forward funneled more than $113 million to SMP, more than in any prior election. Brennan Center analyses identified Majority Forward as the single largest dark-money group of the 2024 cycle on the Democratic side. SMP’s spending concentrated on Senate races in Ohio, Montana, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Arizona, with mixed results — Democrats lost the chamber’s majority in 2024.
