SuperPACs.com is an independent, nonpartisan reference site about super PACs and American campaign finance. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
What We Collect
Contact form submissions. If you use our contact form, we collect the information you provide — your name (optional), email address, subject category, and message. We use this only to respond to your message and to maintain a record of correspondence. We do not add contact form submitters to any mailing list.
Standard server logs. Our hosting provider, Hostinger, maintains standard web server logs that record visits to the site. These logs include IP addresses, browser type, the page visited, the time of the visit, and similar technical information. We also use the Wordfence security plugin, which records the IP addresses of visitors and requests to the site in order to block malicious traffic and login attempts. We do not actively analyze these logs; they exist for technical and security purposes.
Search engine data. We use Google Search Console to monitor how the site appears in Google search results. Search Console provides aggregate, anonymized data about search queries — we cannot identify individual users from this data.
What We Do Not Collect
We do not require accounts or registration. We do not sell anything. We do not currently display advertising (see Advertising below). We do not maintain a mailing list. We do not ourselves use cookies to track you across other sites, although Google’s advertising code on this site may do so (see Advertising below). We do not share, sell, or rent any visitor information.
Cookies
The site uses cookies for the following purposes:
- Session cookies needed for the contact form to function
- Cache cookies that improve site loading speed
- Google Analytics cookies that collect anonymized data about site usage
- Google AdSense cookies, which Google’s advertising code may set even though no ads are currently displayed
Other than Google AdSense, described below, we do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.
Third-Party Services
We use Google Analytics to collect basic, anonymized data about how visitors use this site. This information may include pages visited, time spent on the site, general geographic location, and the device or browser used. This data is collected in aggregate and does not personally identify you. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect this information. Our site links extensively to external sources including the Federal Election Commission, OpenSecrets, the Brennan Center for Justice, and the official websites of the super PACs we profile. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these external sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies if you visit them.
Advertising
The site does not currently display advertising. We have installed Google AdSense code in preparation for showing ads in the future. Even before ads appear, this code may cause Google to set cookies and collect information such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit, which Google may use to personalize and measure ads across other websites. For details, see How Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can manage ad personalization in your Google My Ad Center settings.
Before ads are shown, visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland will be asked for consent to advertising cookies, as Google requires. If we begin displaying ads, we will update this policy.
Your Rights
If you are in the European Union (under GDPR), California (under CCPA), or another jurisdiction with similar regulations, you have rights including:
- The right to know what personal data we hold about you
- The right to request deletion of your personal data
- The right to correct inaccurate data
- The right to withdraw consent for processing

Children
This site is intended for general adult audiences. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page indicates the last revision. Material changes will be highlighted on the homepage or via direct notification where appropriate.
