Everytown for Gun Safety Victory Fund

Lean / focus: Gun control / Democratic
Founded: 2014
Type: Super PAC

Everytown for Gun Safety Victory Fund is the super PAC arm of Everytown for Gun Safety, the largest gun-control advocacy organization in the United States. Everytown was formed in 2014 from the merger of Mayors Against Illegal Guns (founded in 2006 by then-New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg) and Moms Demand Action (founded in 2012 in response to the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting). Michael Bloomberg remains the organization’s principal funder.

The Victory Fund is one of three Everytown-affiliated political entities, alongside the traditional Everytown Victory Fund PAC and the Everytown-Demand a Seat PAC. Across these vehicles, Everytown pledged to spend approximately $45 million in the 2024 cycle. The Victory Fund itself reported approximately $9.4 million in independent expenditures, concentrated on the presidential race and on tightly contested House seats. The group also partnered with Future Forward and House Majority PAC on joint ad campaigns in 2024.

Everytown’s combined political operation substantially outspent and outraised the National Rifle Association’s political arms throughout the 2024 cycle — a notable reversal of the historical pattern in which the NRA was widely regarded as the dominant force in gun-policy electoral politics.
