Club for Growth Action is the super PAC arm of Club for Growth, a free-market and anti-tax advocacy organization. It is one of the oldest super PACs in operation, founded in 2010 shortly after the Citizens United decision. The group focuses on Republican primaries, supporting candidates it sees as the most reliably conservative on economic policy and opposing Republicans it considers insufficiently committed to limited government.
The PAC’s largest 2024-cycle donors included Jeff Yass, co-founder of trading firm Susquehanna International Group, who gave more than $16 million, and Richard Uihlein, CEO of Uline, who gave approximately $8.8 million. The Club had a famously contentious relationship with Donald Trump going back to 2016 — Club-affiliated groups spent millions opposing his nomination — before reconciling in early 2024 once Trump was the presumptive nominee.
The Club’s affiliated Win It Back PAC has been used to spend independently in Senate races, particularly against vulnerable Democratic incumbents. Together, the Club’s political vehicles spent well over $100 million in the 2024 cycle.
