Preserve America PAC was the third major pro-Trump super PAC of the 2024 cycle, funded almost entirely by Miriam Adelson, the widow of casino magnate Sheldon Adelson and a longtime Republican megadonor. Adelson contributed roughly $100 million of the group’s funding. Other major donors included Elizabeth Uihlein of the Uline shipping-supplies company.
Preserve America’s spending focused on negative advertising against Kamala Harris during the general election. Unlike MAGA Inc., Preserve America was less an institutional vehicle and more a personal funding mechanism — a structure that has become common when a single very wealthy donor wants to direct large amounts of money into independent expenditures.
The PAC illustrates a recurring pattern in the post-Citizens United era: a major donor establishes (or backs) a super PAC bearing a generic-sounding name, funds it almost single-handedly, and uses it to drive a specific message into a competitive race.
